There is one ardhanareeswara temple in thiruchengode near Selam. That temple is located on a mountain top. and the swami is about 6feet high with a big kumkum and adorned face. and half the part is dressed in shiva's form that is soman and with all the shiva's aayudam and the other half is dressed as devi in saree and with her aayudhams. and that temple is worthseeing. and we get the theertham from the feet of shiva it is real padodakam shubham theertham. and the theertam comes from the groundspring form and it always flows thouching Lord's feet. and this is given as theetham to devotees.and one can reach mountain by ar or bus and one can walk also upto to the sannithanam devi saranam m.s.iyer "Shrinivas A. When he started contemplating on how the corresponding female form should be, shri rudra helped him by assuming the ardhanArI form. The point to be made here is: male and female forms of species are dual of one another. Define one and you have already defined the other. shri rudra, who very well understood this duality, showed hiranyagarbha that since he has come up with the human male form, this is what the counterpart should be like.
