Hari Om!

I need assistance and clarification with the following questions please.

Late December a message was posted re: Four Navaratris in a year, the first

from Jan 3-11, the second Feb. 2 or 3rd for nine consecutive days, and then

one in April, and the final in the Fall [Oct].

I took advantatge of this infor. started reading the 3rd [Jan] 'Chandi

Paath', and on Jan 11th participated in Chandi Hommam with the entire 700

mantras. I have not been initiated, my first intro. to 'Saptashati' was by

a priest in Vancouver, where I was asked to read with 5 or 6 other

participants, the priest did some prayers prior to each reading during

'Navaratri'. I struggled with the book throughout, cried during each

reading, did not know where to begin, or where to finish. read from the

first page to the last page, including the instructions etc. shortly after,

the Goddess showed me a wealth of information, I was able to find the

English Transliteration of the 'Saptashati', also, located several tapes and

with the help to tapes, I read the 'Saptashati'.

So now I've learnt, that I should have been initiated, prior to reading the

'Saptashati'???

My GuruMa is 'Amma', [Mata Amritanandamayi], when I chant her mantra, does

she not guide me and protect me and show me the way to all the sadhnas...I

practice??

Do I need to be initiated for each different type of sadhna by different

Gurus.

Also, where can I come across the 'Markandey Purana', if I do locate it, do

I need to be initiated, prior to reading it, if 'yes', by who or where do I

have this initiation done.

I am very confused, what about Feb 2/3, I was gearing up to reading the

'Saptashati' again for nine consecutive days, and see if I maybe able to

participate in another Hommam with the 700 mantras.

Please help me out here, have I done everything wrong up to this point in

time???

Very confused!
