Guest guest
1. If one wants a dhyAna shloka, one can take the dhyAna shloka-s of shrii lalitaa sahasranaamam and fix your attention the image of Sri kAmAxI when you recite these verses. 2. But the key question is, why a dhyAna shloka. Typically, you require dhyAna shloka while performing puja, saying nAmavaLi or sahasranaama etc. This is because, you want to form a clear mental conception of the devataa. Even though naamaavaLi or sahasranaama itself describes the devataa, it is difficult to gather the information and compile it internally in an harmonious way. Hence, a dhyAna shloka helps one to rivet his attention on the devataa. 3. Works like saundaryalaharI will have a maNgala shloka (sometimes explicitly), typically the first verse is taken as that. The goal of saundaryalahari itself is to describe ambaa in four different forms. They are a) As devataa, second half of the work describes HER beauty part by part b) in the form of shrii chakra c) in the form of chakras in human body and d) in the form of mantra (verse 32, 33 etc). The description of b, c, and d comes in the first part of the work. 4. Hence, this whole work itself teaches how to meditate on HER and does not require a separate dhyAna shloka. Salutations to ganapati and gurus is a standard practice. The verse bhuumau .... is for seeking forgiveness. They do not constitute dhyAna. However, I am not sure about its widespread acceptance(of dhyAna). lauhitya nirjita japAkusumAnurAgAM pAshAN^kushekShu dhanuriShUnapi dhArayantIm.h. tAmrAyatAmaruNamAlya visheShabhUShAM tAmbUlapUritamukhIM tripurAM namAmi.. the text is unclear where it reads "pAshA.nkushekShu" rgds AUM shrImAtre namaH AUM namaH shivAya AUM namaH shivAbhyAm Archives : http://www.ambaa.org/ (Edited) : /messages// Contact : help Your use of is subject to
