Meaning:

With the mount that is renowned for circumambulation

crushing down the lord of ilaN^gai (irAvaNan) having

large strong shoulders to wither away and (then) there

He blessed. In the land that is known for strength

(solid) the devotees worship the Lord of n^Agaik

kArONam adjoined by the sea where ships are docked.

 

Notes:

1. kayilAyam is the mount, which one has to go around

in reverence, but irAvaNan tried to move it off from

his way. As a result he was pressed down below that

mount !

2. varai - hill; aDarththu - crushing; kalam - ship;

n^Agai - n^AgappaTTiNam.
