Guest guest
I refer to Shri Balakrishnan Shankar's post. Tantra should not be confused with Vedas. The rules applicable for one is not applicable for the other. Shrividya, even though vedic in origin, is principally governed by Tantric rules and hence women are acceptable there. Vedic initiation can never be had from a woman. It is sinful to have a female guru for vedic initiation, but not so for Srividya. And note - you maybe qualified to invoke Mother Durga, but you can never claim the same for chanting Durga Suktam !!! There lies the difference.
