Guest guest
I personally think the Dasha Maha Vidyas are the one and the same and I would think any person who calls themselves a devotee of any one of them would think the same. We all have our ishta devatas and we (well I) would think that he/she would be the utimate for that person this deity would be the personification of the cosmic God. This is how tantras and mantras act; the diety they praise they would claim as being the greatest and the mantra itself would also call itself unmatched. I live in a country where you can bearly get the devi bhagawat forget tantra shastra hence my knowledge on Devi's mantras is very, very limited. I intend to give some mantras to this group but my scanner is stuffed up so unfortunately there will be a VERY long wait. some of these mantras are shahasranama stotras. I am currently studying the samrajyadayaka dakshinamahakali 1k stotra. It comes from the rudrayamala Kali tantra. In this Lord Shiva tells a story about sri vidya and its creation. Here is a synopsis Shiva and his beloved Devi (in the form of Kali Ma) were seated in Kailash and there a bunch of apsaras came; they were talking about maithuna where Mother Kali got offended by something Lord Shiva said. She thus left; lord shiva now parted with his shakti went in a state of anxiety and depression. Kali took pitty on him and thus told him of the formula of worshipping the Sri chakra with the mantra KA I E LA HREEM which he did for crores of years. Then a beautiful maiden arose from the bindu (ofcourse mother Kali but in a new form) she was then known as Sundari. Shiva then took the form of Rajarajeshwara (Kameshawara). Sundari then took to the worship of Kali, in that instant Kali appeared before Sundari and asked her for a boon. Sundari asked for a way for her to attain he power. So Mother Kali revealed this sahasranama stotra. Through this she attained her power and become tripura sundari (the beautified form of Kali since Shiva insulted Kali of her fierce nature so hence she took this form). Through this Shiva also attain Kali. This is the cut up version of this particular 1k stotram; it dosent give moksha but makes one surpass Adya and Maha Kala. I got this from a Kali upasana book. This mantra is used among a lot of tantric circles as being the best since well lalita 1k stotram needs an utkilana mantra. This kali mantra however locked stil for some reason gives immense power. Does anyone have anymore information on this mantra? Movies - What's on at your local cinema?
