Second Shloka praises Bala as Kali shyAmAM shyAma ghanAvabhAsa rucirAM nIlAlakAlaMkR^itAM bimboShThIM bali shatru vandita padAM bAlArka koTi prabhAM. trAsa trANa kR^ipANa muNDa dadhatIM bhaktAya dAnodyatAM vande saN^kaTa nAshinIM bhagavatIM bAlAM svayaM kAlikAM..2.. The shloka has a usual description of kali i.e as being black in complexion(shyAmA), shining with the brilliance of crore(10 million) rising suns(bAlArka koTi prabhA), and as holding a sword(kripana) and a severed head(munda) in two hands etc.., and ends praising Her as the one who removes distresses(sankata nashinim) and says Bala is no different from kali(balam svayam kalikam). > rgds Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
