Dear satsangh members

This has reference to Shiva giving Kalyana dharisana to Agasthya.

Thiruvanmiyur is a place where Shiva offered this dharshan at Vanni tree and

even today during Panguni Uthiram Utsavam this is called as Vanni Marathadi

Sevai and a grand festival at Lord Marundheeswara temple.

I have already sent a mail on Amma Thrupurasundari.

Thiruvanmiyur is a Kshetram sung by Appar,Sundarar and Sambandar and Lord Muruga

is being praised in a Thrupugazh by Arunagirinadhar.

Other than this famous Saint Pamban Swamigal's Samadhi and Muruga temple is near

the beach and also latest addition to the neighbourhood is ARUPADAIVEEDU the

dream of Maha Periyava Paramacharya.

I request and wish that all Ambal devotees must have dharsan of these places.

Paramacharya has visited this temple many a times.

Regards

Ramanan

Perhaps this will be of interest to some people. Maybe

Shri Ganesh can add more on this. The message was originally

sent from the Troy Parashakti temple in Michigan. Members

in this area may please note that there is a community milk

abhishekam at the temple 6:00 PM on Feb 16th. The temple

web page is at http://www.parashakthi-temple.com/

Sridhar.

Maasi Makham/ Full Moon on Sun Feb 16.

Maasi Makham: According to Legend, Saint Agastya pleaded with

Lord Shiva to give him a Darshan of the celestial wedding of the

Lord to Goddess Parvathi. Accordingly, the Lord accorded to the

wishes of Saint Agastaya in the month when the star Makham

coincided with the Full Month in the month of Maasi. It is also

said that anyone who remembers and celebrates this day will be

blessed by the Lord and his consort. There are other legends

associated with this day.
