Pujya Smt Rajam Mami ,when i met HER before 4 years personally told me that She

did not permit Mayuram Swami to print this book with out the correction of many

mistakes which were identified by her when the draft was shown to her.

But i beleive these mistakes must have been corrected subsequently and the

volumes would have been printed. i am sure Mami being the Sri Vidya Guru of The

swamigal himself,in his purvasaram would have had the the greatest respect not

only for her knowledge on sri vidya but also being his Guru , would have

definitely seen the correction through.

It is implied that in Sri Vidya that any Sishya should not take any guidance

directly from any book despite its authority or greatness.

i look forward for further comments on the printed edition.

Matham (better known as Mayuram Swamigal) has done a wonderful job by

compiling huge amount of information on Srividya. But, mistakes are

abundant in these volumes. Most of these are printing mistakes i

suppose. Smt Prakashamba (Rajamma Mami) has dictated many parts of

these volumes and her Tamil accent shows in these works. At many

places, there are grave mistakes owing to direct translation of

verses to Sanskrit, as pronounced in Tamil. Also, Swamiji is

associated with various Sampradayas though mainly belonging to

Guhananda Mandali. But, some Sampradaya Bhedas have been included

under a common roof, which is not desirable. Also, without Guru's

knowledge and a thorough understanding of this highly technical

subject, i request others not to venture into these manuals, except

for an intellectual study. There are mistakes even in the mantras

listed and I think Mami is not even aware of many things that have

been printed in this book. Please take guidance from the Gurus and

keep these books only for reference.
