OMkAraste vAchako muktibIja.n

tvamakShara.n prakR^itau gUDharUpam.h .

tattvA.n satya.n pravadantIha santaH

svaya.nprabha.n bhavato yatprakAsham.h .. 29 ..

 

The OM which is the very seed of salvation, expresses

you. You are the Imperishable, subtly inherent in Prakrti.

Therefore, the sages praise you and your self-radiant

Light as the (only) Truth.

 

stuvanti tvA.n satata.n sarvavedA

namanti tvAmR^iShayaH kShINadoShAH .

shAntAtmAnaH satyasa.ndhA.n variShTha.n

vishanti tvA.n yatayo brahmaniShThAH .. 30 ..

 

All the Vedas are always but your praises, the sages with

thier imperfections done away bow to you and the ascetics

who have subdued their senses, whose aims are true, and

who are devoted to Brahman, enter you as the Ultimate Goal.

 

eko vedo bahushAkho hyanantam.h

tvAmevaika.n bodhayatyekarUpam.h .

vedya.n tvA.n sharaNa.n ye prapannA\-

steShA.n shAntiH shAshvatI netareShAm.h .. 31 ..

 

The Veda is one though with numerous branches and endless;

it brings about your perception. Those only who seek refuge

unto you, the sole object of realization, they and no others

have eternal peace.

 

bhavAnIsho.anAdimA.nstejorAshi\-

rbrahmA vishva.n parameShThI variShThaH .

svAtmAnandamanubhUyAdhishete

svaya.n jyotirachalo nityamuktaH .. 32 ..

 

You are the spouse of Bhavani; you are without beginning

and are a mass of divine radiance; you are Brahma, Visva,

Paramesthin and the Greatest of all. You are engrossed in

the cosmic bliss of yourself, and are self-luminous,

constant and ever-free.

 

eko rudrastav.n karoShIha vishva.n

tva.n pAlayasyakhila.n vishvarUpaH .

tvAmevAnte nilaya.n vindatIda.n

namAmastvA.n sharaNa.n sa.nprapannAH .. 33 ..

 

You are one as Rudra, still you create the entire universe;

assuming various forms, you are sustaining it and at the end

the entire universe merges into you. Therefore, we seek

refuge unto you and salute you.

 

tvAmekamAhuH kavimekarudra.n

prANa.n brahanta.n harimagnimIsham.h .

indra.n mR^ityumanila.n chekitAna.n

dhAtAramAdityamanekarUpam.h .. 34 ..

 

You are the Supreme Rudra, Kavi, Prana the Great, Hari,

Agni, Isha, Indra, Yama, Vayu, Consciousness, controller

of destinty (Dhatr), Aditya and of many other forms.

 

tvamakShara.n parama.n veditavya.n

tvamasya vishvasya para.n nidhAnam.h .

tvamavyayaH shAshvatadharmagoptA

sanAtanastva.n puruShottamo.asi .. 35 ..

 

You are the Imperishable, the Supreme to be realized.

You are the ultimate resting place of the universe and

the Unchangeable, the Protector of the eternal law.

You are the Eternal Person and the best of persons.
