Then, Lord Kapardin Bhava, who has an ox as his vehicle, withdrew his cosmic form and became normal. te bhava.n bhUtabhavyesha.n pUrvavat.h samavasthitam.h . dR^iShTvA nArAyaNa.n deva.n vismitA vAkyamabruvan.h .. 43 .. Then the sages, seeing Bhava, the Lord of the past and the future, in that (calm) state and also seeing Lord Narayana in the same state, were filled with wonder and said : bhagavan.h bhUtabhavyesha govR^iShAN^kitashAsana . dR^iShTvA te parama.n rUpa.n nivR^ittAH sma sanAtana .. 44 .. O God, O Lord of the past and the future, O God known by the ox vehicle, O Eternal One, having seen your divine form, we have attained perfect peace. bhavatprasAdAdamale parasmin.h parameshvare . asmAka.n jAyate bhaktistvayyevAvyabhichAriNI .. 45 .. O God, it is through your grace that unswerving devotion has been born in our minds for you the Supreme Lord, the stainless one. idAnI.n shrotumichchhAmo mAhAtmya.n tava sha.nkara . bhUyo.api tava yannitya.n yAthAtmya.n parameShThinaH .. 46 .. Now we are desirous of hearing the story of your noble powers O Sankara. Also we are craving to hear from you your Eternal Truth. sa teShA.n vAkyamAkarNya yoginA.n yogasiddhidaH . prAhaH gambhIrayA vAchA samAlokya cha mAdhavam.h .. 47 .. Then the God who endowed the Yogins with spiritual success, on hearing their appeals, cast a look at Madhava (Narayana) and spoke (thus) in a sublime voice. iti shrIkUrmapurANe ShaTsAhasryA.n sa.nhitAyAmuparivibhAge (IshvaragItAsu) pa~nchamo.adhyAyaH ..
