Guest guest
Sub : AMBAAL AND H.H. JAGAD GURU CHANDRASEKHARA BHARATI Baghwan Adi Sankara established the Dakshinamnaya Sri SARADA PEETAM at Sringeri in Karnataka for YAJUR VEDA and ranks foremost among the mutts due to the great tapas and knowledge of the holy scriptures of distinguished souls who had and have headed the peetam. · H.H Chandrasekhara Bharati who was known as Narasimha sastry in the purvashrama, embraced the order in 1912, a day after his Guru Nrisimha Bharati left his mortal coils. Just before his guru left his body, he deputed a mutt’s representative to His Highness Maharaja of Mysore with a communication notifying Sri Narsimha sastry as his successor. · Though HH Chandrasekara Bharati could not see his guru in flesh and blood, Narasimha Bharati already initiated him into several secrets of the Sanatana Dharma through mystic ways. H.H guru Bhakti was so intense, by constantly dwelling in the thoughts of his guru, he presented in his person an exact replica of Narasimha Bharati. · HH Chandrasekhara bharati was an exceptionally evolved soul proficient in Vedas and Sanskrit at a tender age of 16 yrs. Even during his childhood he showed a tendency to forget this material world and get buried in the worship of Divine Mother. When his mother sent the child to buy vegetables, the boy used to go to bazaar forgetting the purpose and used to walk four to five miles along the road reciting the MUKA PANCHASATI all the way and only after finishing the 500 slokas he would get back to his body consciousness remembering what he had left the house for. After buying the things required by his mother would wend his way back by repeating ANANDA SAGARASTAVA in praise of Meenakshi. This happened many times and when in Bangalore he used to be almost run over by many cycles, automobiles or carts. · As his purvasra father had lost 13 children befor him, his father had mentally dediated the 14th son HH TO SRI SARADAMA and surprisingly his only surviving child ascended the throne of the peetam. · HH had made such an impresseion in the mind of his GURU in the purvasram, that once Nrishima Bharati, composed a set of four hymns in praise of divine mother, invoking her special blessings to make this young boy Narasimha sastry humble, scholarly, generous and ascetic minded so that he is worthy of taking the reins of the pontifical throne to maintain the great traditions of Adi Sankara after him. · His holiness Chandrasekhara Bharati was daily worshipper of SRI CHAKRA and a mere repition of the Divine Mothers name would be enough to send him trance. · He had a visionof SRI SARADAMBA when he was barely 21 yrs which never faded from his memory. In the course of the worship while repeating the thosund names of Lalitha sahasranama ,when he came to the name of “ JANMA MRITYU JARA TAPTA JANA VISRANTI DAYINI ( meaning The mother who gives refuge to souls afflicted by the cycle of birth ,death and old age) he would take the sweet scented flower and concentrate on the Divine Mother and the mantra so much , would become suddenly rigid and stiff for few hours at a stretch and come back to his body to continue the archana. This used to happen any time to any of the namavalis of LS. Due to the tapas he had developed amazingly rare powers . The muslim rulers at that time felt obliged to recognise the spiritual suzerainity of HH. HH used to foresee events which used to unfold either political or otherwise and I am not dwelling on these incidents. HH most of the time used to be in forest coming to the mutt at certain times only and the scope of this posting on HH does not cover his vast knowledge of the holy scriptures.
