Guest guest
Sub : Bhagwan Sri Ramana Bhakti and Ambaal · The Maharisi was approached by people with different attitudes like sceptics, agnostics, thesists, atheists, seekers of miracles and frame questions as per their interests. The glory of Sri Ramana lay in removing the attitudes and enable the person to focus of realising the supreme. · Bhagawan Sri Ramana’s central teaching is : SELF ENQUIRY as most of his talks would revolve around vichaara like “ who am I “. He used to say that this is the greatest japa parayana. For those who follow this method no other sadhana is necessary and the fruit is the SELF REALISATION. · At the same time for a very few great Sri Vidya Upasakas like Kavyakanda Ganapathy Muni,SIR Chidanandanathar, sri jagadisha sastrigal, kurram Subbaramyya,Suri Nagamma , He would subtly reveal many times that through Sri Vidya sadhana one can unfold Atma Sakshatkaram and to these specific individuals HE would constantly dwell on BHAKTI as means to reach the same goal .. When one goes through the books on Sri Ramana, if one is an Upasaka such instances concerning Ambaal would unusually attract their attention and re assure the greatness of the chosen upasana marga. Few instances are compiled below: · Whenever these great Mahaans would visit Bagawaan, He would switch over his talk from Gyanaa to Bhakti and lecture on the importance of Bhakti. This is despite the fact that some of these people were very well read in the Vedas,Vedantas and sastras like Brahma Sri Thethiyoor Jagadeesha Sastrigal. Tears would roll down, when Bagwan would speak on the Lord Arunachala Siva and the presiding Devi Unna Mulai. · It is a well-known fact that Bagawaan was none other than LORD SUBRAMANYA himself in human form. When the Kumkum prasad was brought to him from Madurai Meenakshy temple by one Rangamma, Bhagawan looking at it with tears masking his eyes said that this has been sent by my mother Abhaya Sahayamibikai the presiding deity at Thirichuzi ( Ramana’s birth place). · Ramana used to frequent Pacchai Amman temple a Durga temple at Tiruvannamali . When his devotees remarked about the decreasing Sannidhyam of the temple , he dug a particular place near the Vigraham and took out the SRI CHAKRA to the surprise of the devotees and after rectifying a defect reinstalled it. · When Sri Ramana’s Mother left the body, his close sishya Sri Muruganaar announced the passing away, Bhagawan immediately remarked “ THAAN THANAVE AANAR”(that became that) meaning the final merge of the mother’s Jivaatma to the Paramaatma. When his disciples decided to construct a temple for her arrangements were made for a SRI CHAKRA, which was personally consecrated and installed by Sri Ramana himself. The lingam is now worshipped as “ MATHRU BUTHESWARARA “ in the Ashram. · Later on Sri Chakra was also installed by Bagawan on the Adishtaanam of Sesadri Swamigal at Tiruvannamalai and the Sri Chakram installed at the Vaishnavi Devi temple at Tirumullai Vayil near Madras is also blessed by Sri Ramana. · There is another interesting episode on the great 1000 hymns composed by Kavya Kanda Ganapathy in praise of Ambaal, which is known as UMA SAHASRAM. The muni could not proceed beyond 700 slokams and on the last day before the day of dedication, the Muni expressed his in ability to Sri Ramana to compose beyond 700 Hyms. Bhagawan immediately summoned 4 great Sanskrit scholars at night to Pachhai amman temple for taking notes and while Baghwan was in Constant stare at the Muni , 300 balance Hyms just poured out of the Muni and the speed of dictation was so fast that each Sanskrit scholar just had time to write down one of the respective four line of the hymn . After completion of 1000 hymns Sri Ramana reviewed all the 1000 hymns, while there were corrections on the 700 of the hymns composed by the Muni, no coreections were made to the 300 hymns. The dedication of Uma Sahasram Proceeded smoothly the next day before the leading SriVidya Sadhakas. · On 19th April 1937, an orthodox gentleman asked about Sri chakra For which Sri ramana replied,It has deep significance and used for worship and concentration of mind. The mind, which always wanders outside, is checked and turned within. Its habit is to dwell in names and forms for all objects external possess names and forms. Such names and forms are made and symbolic mental conceptions in order to divert the mind from external to internal and make it dwell within itself. The idols, mantras and yantras are all meant to give food to the mind in its introvert state, so that it may later become capable of being concentrated for reaching the superb state of SELF automatically. · On 16th Nov 1936 a devotee asks about TANTRIC SADHANAS. Does tantric sadahana bring about self realisation….. YES Which worship in TANTRA is best……It depends on temperament. What part does kundalini play in bringing about self realisation……kundalini raises from any lakshya that you have kundalini in life current or prana shakti Different deities are said to reside in different Chakras does one see them in course of sadhana….. they can be seen if desired. Does the path to self realisation go through samadhi…… they are synonymous. It is said that the guru can make his disciple realise the self by transmitting some of his own power to him. Is it true…..Yes, the guru does not bring self realisation but removes the obstacles to it as the self is always realised. Is there absolute necessity of guru for self realisation…..so long as you seek self realisation the guru is necessary. Guru is the self. the disappearance of this sense of duality is removal of ignorance and so long as duality persists guru is necessary.. you are the self so is the guru (IN SRI VIDYA WE LEARN FROM GURU THAT THE SADHAK,GURU MANTRA AND DEVI ARE SAME ) JAI BAGWAN SRI RAMANA GANAPATHY = = = VIJAYA R.Ganapathy -- vijaya ganapathy Muscat -- Oman Tax Center - forms, calculators, tips, and more
