Guest guest
Dear Smt Suja, I thank you for the mail , at the out set, i should appreciate your faith in the Kumkum and your mail, i am sure would be a source of inspiration and encouragement to others to wear the sacred ashes in case of a male and kumkum in case of a female. We are in a period, where the people have not understood the significane of wearing the holy ashes or kumkum. the kumkum of LS archana would ensure prosperity of materials apart from spiritual benefits. i am not able to answer the significance of yellow color -- i guess being a primary colour both are important as yellow is also reflected in Mangalakshadai ( Rice grains mixed in turmeric or kumkum) and used for archana. In Dhynam in second stanza yellow colour is predominant like yellow silk and golden lotus .Whereas in the first it is the red colour. I had this doubt long before .Could somebody please explain.
