Guest guest
namaste 1) By itself, as a moderator, I do not object to such posts. But only request to qualify such posts with an introduction and background. 2) This is necessary because [apparently] a human is writing here from God's point of view. One has to be either a jnAni or God must be using such a person as a medium with a burst of inspiration. If a introduction is given, as a moderator I need not field questions. And others will understand. 3) Even great jnAni-s like shankara and ramaanuja wrote mostly from the point of view of ignorant devotees. I can quote examples from subrahmaNya bhujangam, sivAnandalaharI, and things like Sri ranga gadyam. Even your own teacher, rarely talks from the view of God, but only as a devotee. 4) Whether you like it or not, I prefer the list should be a MAJORITY text based discussion. If you do not find your bhakti stirred by such texts, that is your problem. Take a look at Sri Ranga Gadyam of raamanuja, I was trying (for my personal use) to adopt it to a prayer on ambaaL. He melts in that with such a devotion, you will not find words to change the original. It will stir any soul. I finally decided to invoke the logic that ranganAtha is same a mInAxii and decided to stick to the original and understand it well. 5) I think one of the main goals of this list is to works towards accessible translations of many of the major texts in Sanskrit, Tamil, telugu, kaNNada, and other languages. That is our bread and butter. As a moderator, I do not mind people writing poetry, even if it from the point of view of God, as long as they qualify it. In fact, I used to request people to write poetry on ambaa in different languages (I prefer it as prayer from devotee's stand point, than a pronouncement from God). If you can write a poetry on ambaaL in Klingon, I will be glad to hear it. As a side issue, If Mother is all Love, and She love deers and rabbits. you should watch Discover channel. Every time I see a simple animal getting pounced by a fox or a tiger, I get so upset and ask why God? Why? Why do you make us kill for food or greed? This world of duality is terrible, yogi-s say just seeing this suffering one should work hard to attain liberation (vide Yoga sutra, hariharaananda's translation of vyAsa bhaashhya). One has to go to bhagavad giita for explanation or sometimes to neurospsychology to understand Her karuaNaa and Love. My 2c. And thanks for telling what you think. Such feedbacks are very valuable. Thank you.
