Guest guest
Respected Devotee of paradevataa: Yes there is one. It has a fourth paada and this fourth paada comes from atharva veda. One needs a special initiation* to include and meditate on this complete gAyatrI. You will find this 4th paada's text and explanation in many books and websites. I do not wish to discuss it here, as I do not know much about it. May be some other knowledgeable members** can explain the mantra. Traditionally, however, this is supposed to be a secret though. This complete gaayatrii with the 4th paada is not the mantra, which shriimatii Savithriji quoted. That particular mantra "yo deva savitaasmakam ...." is a prayer you say before embarking on the meditation of standard gAyatrI. It is very nice one, which explains the goal of that meditation. with love and respects, Ravi * According to Dr. Sadagopan, who is a great scholar and I asked him about this mantra few years ago. ** Because this is specially popular among Srividyopasaka-s for explaining srividya in relation to gaayatrii mantra. > > Vinayakan [vinayakan] > Saturday, May 17, 2003 6:26 AM > > Gayatri Mantra > > > > Om Shri Matre Namah : > Shri Gurubhyo Namah : > > Is there 32 syllabled gayatri mantra other than the > existing one with 24 syllables. > > Can any of our learned members guide ? > > Respects > > > > > > Om Shri Matre Namah : > Shri Gurubhyo Namah : > > > > _ > Get www. mycompany .com and 5 matching email ids. > Just Rs. 1499/ year. > Click here http://www.rediffmailpro.com > > > > -- > pradiipajvaalaabhirdivasakaraniiraajanavidhiH > sudhaasuuteshcandropalajalalavairarghyaracanaa . > svakiiyairambhobhiH salilanidhisauhityakaraNaM > tvadiiyaabhirvaagbhistava janani vaacaaM stutiriyam.h > > www : http://www.ambaa.org/ > Contact: help > > Your use of is subject to > > > >
Guest guest
As far as I know the persons authorised to use the 4th Pada are the srividya upasakas and Sanyasis only. Why I dunno; so is the tradition. Kochu "M. S. Ravisankar" <ravi wrote: Respected Devotee of paradevataa: Yes there is one. It has a fourth paada and this fourth paada comes from atharva veda.
