Om Shakthi ! Jey Shakthi!

------- "Maha Sathussashti Koti Yogini Ganasevitha"-------

It is one of the nama in Sri Lalitha Sahasranama. Pujya Sri

Bhaskararaya on his life time gave some details of Sathussashti Koti (64

Crores) Yoginis. Hope the meanings of the Yoginis are not published.

If any learned members in this group having this meaning? I will be

very greatful if anyone refer this book or manuscript having the meaning

of Yoginis.

Awaiting for detailed reply in this regard.

with advance thanks,

N.K.Sundaram.

Dear Sir,

It is read from Bhaskaravilasa and Bhaskaravaibhavam that in a

big debate attended by Kunkumananda Swamin and others, Bhaskararaya

was challenged to list the names of the sixty-four crore Yoginis

mentioned in Rahasya Sahasranama. These people had to accept defeat

after Sridevi herself began to list the names of her sixty-four crore

Yoginis, through Bhaskaracharya. It is also mentioned that they gave

up this almost impossible task of writing the sixty-four crore names

that were being recited. So, probably these names were never recorded

completely. My saying 'meaning' of the sixty-four crore Yoginis, i

assume you are referring to their names. The names of the sixty-four

major Yoginis, each with a crore of shaktis, are well documented in

the Tantras. With variations, there are two sets of these names

listed.
