kama here denotes parashiva and koTi means a part or portion. That is

shiva is part of HER and SHE includes him and greater than that.

Because SHE is the parabrahman in which shiva-shakti aikyam is

established.

 

Since ambaL shines there in this form, that pITham is called kAmakoTi

pItham.
