Guest guest
Large deities make one stop and look at them - they arrest your attention. My feeling - anything that suggests magnificience in creation inspires a sense of awe and perhaps triggers thoughts of the almighty - the prime one, the creator. Each one according to where he is on the path starts to think, feel and experience the divine in his own way. jaybee <jaybee wrote: At 05:33 PM 6/24/2003 +0530, you wrote: >namasthe, > >There is a Sri Sarabeshwara and Prathyangira >temple in Tambaram (Selayur), chennai, India - >belonging to Sri Skandasramam. By this rule, we understand that most of the Siva Lingams in the Tamilnadu temples which are are hardly a foot tall, and are so simple in design would not incite awe or invoke any thoughts of of the almighty creator. Neither would they be able inspire a person. I have learned something new. Thanks.
