sudhA-samudra-antaH-udyat-maNidvIpa-saMrUDha-bilva-aTavI-madhya-kalpadruma-Akalp\

a-kadamba-kAntAra-vAsa-priye

 

jaya = Victory be (to You)

janani = O Mother!

sudhA-samudra = the milky ocean

antaH = from the depths of

udyat = that has arisen

maNidvIpa = in the bejwelled island/manidvipa

saMrUDha = that grows

bilva-aTavI = forest full of bilva trees

madhya = [the kalpadruma is situated] in the middle of

kalpadruma = under the tree that grants all wishes

Akalpa = which is like

kadambakAtAra = the kadamba forest

vAsa-priye = who likes to reside.

 

Victory be (to You) O Mother! who likes to reside

under kalpavr^ikSha, the

tree that grants all wishes and resembles a kadamba

forest. This kalpadruma

is situated in the middle of forest full of bilva

trees growing in manidvipa

(the bejwelled island) that has arisen from the depths

of the milky ocean.
