Salutations to Her, who is like moon-shine(candrikA)

to the white water lily(kumuda), which are the eyes

of shrIkanTha i.e Shiva.

White water-lily(Nymphaea esculenta) is said to open

at moon rise. As moon-shine is to the white water

lily, so is Lalita to the eyes of Parameshvara/Shiva.

LS-129- sharat-candranibhAnanA - meaning, She, whose

face is like the autumnal moon.

Kataksha Sataka of Muka Panchasati has a couple of

shlokas describing in poetic terms the relation

between Kamakshi's eyes and Shiva's eyes.

kAmAkShi! netra ruci nIlima cAturI te

atyantamadbhutamidaM nayana trayasya

harShodayaM janayate hariNA~NkamauleH..37..

Rough Translation: Even though a variety of moods

are evident in Kamakshi's eyes, it is a wonder that

they always bring about happiness to the three eyes

of Shiva(hariNA~Nka-maulI).

Shloka translated using a telugu translation.

Errors in translation are due to my

misunderstanding.
