Chithirai,yearly urchavam takes place,inclusive of Shri Kala Samhara moorthi

performing Yama Sanghara,Car festival etc.

Aadi Amavasai is celebrated to denote the event in which Abirami appeared before

Abirami Pattar.On that day all songs ofAndadhi are sung by Oodhuvaars with

karpoora aarathi for each song.

Navarathri,Aadi velli Thai velli are all very auspicious days.

Similarly the soma vaaras of karthigai month is very important

inThirukadaiyur.In this occasion,SANGAABISHEGAM is performed which is very

unique.May your visit to Thirukadaiyur happen very soon.

Devi mahaatmeeyam , Soundarya Lahari and urged the Tamilians ignorant of

Though Abhirami has Vara and Abhya Mudra -- she revealed herself to Abhirami

bhatter as Lalitha Maha Tripura Sundari ( deivattin kural ) This is known from

the andathi

" Thunayum Thozum deivamum petra thayum suruthigalin panayum

Kozundthum......................".

 

As I am not yet so far called by Abhirami for a Dharshan, I would like to know

from you the various Aradhana ,vazipadu to Abhirami and if possible to give us

the full details for creation of endowments for these Vazipadu. This would be

very useful to plan the trip to coincide with the celebrations.

 

Pl also indicate the procedures to be followed for celebrating " sashtiabtha

Purthi " ( 60th Birthday ) in the temple premises as this Kshethra is considered

Markandeya Kshethra and Tamilians prefer to celebrate in this place for

Longevity.
