Guest guest
Sri Rama Jayam Namaskarams to all, I understand that the Navarathri culminates on the Vijayadashami day and also, traditionally, the Chandi Homam ends (if started earlier itself) or is performed the day before itself, i.e. on MahaNavami day. Usually in most households, only there is a small punarpooja on that day and children are inducted into vidhyabhyasam. But from a Sri Upasana point of view, what are the traditional poojas that are performed on Vijayadashami day by Sri Upasaka? Can a Navavarna pooja be performed that day or should it be performed on MahaNavami day itself? In temples also, I have observed, there is only the Rathotsavam that day. Is there something else that is performed on that day in the Kanchi Kamakshi temple and the Kanchi mutt and Sringeri Mutts? Also, when can we see the Acharyals performing Navavarna poojas? Does it happen daily or only during the two major Navarathris? I would be most thankful if these are answered?
