From that moment onwards it becomes obvious that DEVI == GURU == SELF which is ADVAITA. The man who prays, the prayer and the DEVI to whom he prays all have reality only as manifestations of the Self . In effect in simple terms the answer for your question colud be that you are mixing up the pre and post realistion principles in your question. In Duality there is Guru and in non- duality it vanishes. Guru's role is very important for the unfoldment of self and there are minor exceptions to the rule applicable for great people. Guest guest
Namah Shivaya Dear Prasad, I would like to add that it dpends upon your faith ion your Guru. If you have 100% faith that your Guru is Ambaal Herself, then there is no difference- but it all depends upon YOUR inner Faith and YOUR surrender. Of course, such a Guru who can be considered as Ambaal Herself is hard to obtain - but regardless of the Guru, as Paramacharya Himself says, if you have faith that your Guru is God in manifestation , then that is enough- that faith will carry you through even if the Guru is not of the highest type. BUT that faith should be sincere, innocent and undivided and 100%. As Bhagavan Ramana says 'Guru is God in manifestation". He also says "The jnani is the very soul of God'. The Guru is all important to the seeker- The Guru's grace is paramount is destroying age old vasanas. Without a Satguru it is next to impossible to wipe out the ego . The SatGuru , who has dissolved His/Her being in God, verily is a walking temple. Her very words are scripture, the touch of Her feet are the touch of the Divine. The ashram of the Guru is holy, the day the Guru was born becomes a holy day for the seeker -( just as even though Bhagavan Ramana decried birthday celebrations , his devotees nevertheless celebrate His Jayanti ), the very name of the Guru becomes a mantra for the disciple.... Guru bhakti indeed is a sign of Ambaal's grace. Just as bhakti towards Ambaal is a sign of Guru's grace. These two are interdependent. The Swetaswatara upanishad says that one should have devotion to God, and equally to the Guru. For the Guru, as Bhagavan Ramana says , is "God in manifestation'. Ambaal 's aspect as Sadaashiva is predominant in the Guru ( Sadaashivaa anugrahada)- the giver of the Grace that removes the age old ignorance and lifts the screen of maya that covers our minds. May we all devote ourselves to Her Grace that assumes the Form of the Guru.
