Guest guest
Hello Will revered members throw some light on sankalpam that is to be made when some one is away from india - the "Bharatha Kante" The sankalpam recital during avani avittam mentions Bharatha varshe, bharadha kante, ... So if im in US, what will be sankalpa mantra - this is very specific to the forth coming avani avittam As im away for the first time during the avani avittam, would like to know if there are any other sankalpam for a different geographies Incidentally i have also heard that Brahmins are not supposed to cross seas? Is it for this reason - no specific sankalpam away from India? Any thoughts from learned scholars to dispel my ignorance would be welcome Namaskarams Ramakrishnan
Guest guest
When travel becomes unavoidable due to professional commitments, what do we do? Now that I know that I shouldnt cross seas, but still may end up doing so - Am i committing an "intentional" sin? Would also appreciate what are the extensive and expensive prayachittas that has been d? Thanks Ramakrishnan , "ballakrishnen subramaniam" <ballakrishnen@h...> wrote: > In last but one para of your mail you have the answer to your question. Guest guest
Thanks to all the learned members for their posts on this topic.. since I was the originator, i thought i'd also sum it up as well. my question arose from a practical stand point when I'd be away from Bharata kante during this years upakarma What i have inferred is - the spirit of substance is of importance and ultimately the bhakthi and a self less surrender is what is required rather than looking at new dimensions that says "This is Right" and "This is wrong" Sri Adisankara in in Baja Govindam clearly says "Sam prapthe San Nihite Kale, Nahee Nahee rakshithu Tukruncharane".. Finally I feel, the trueness with which a person performs the nitya karmanushtanams counts and not the place.. May be im wrong in my conclusions..
