Archives ( ws RE: DPDS-11)

Dear Prof. VK,

 

It is a known problem that Escribe misses few posts once in a while. But

Escribe is only a backup archive, hence, we really do not do much about it.

The cause is basically time-outs and internet flakiness, I am not sure

whether we can do anything (automatically) to correct it. I can manually

post the messages to the archive (but that will distort author information).

Our main archive is on Groups. I am also creating a backup on

ambaa.org for ad-free browsing.

3) Archives on ambaa.org manually created -- sync upto oct 2002. This

created by downloading messages of Groups using a script. I have to

synchronize it (it is a long pending item), I will see whether I can do it

sometime next week.
