Guest guest
Dear Sri Siva ji, Shree Raviji has already indicated the availablity of DM or DS in RK publications. Few years back when at New Delhi, I bought six books with hard cover for distribution to my relatives from Gita Press Gorakhpur shop. Gita press publications are of good quality with a bigger print and highly subsidised by well wishers -- All the 18 Puranas are available. DS is a secret Mantra Sadhana ( Uchcharana is important ) and one would wish to learn it from a teacher or a Guru as there are rules to recitation. To give you an example -- The DS should never be done mentally but should be an audible recitation which should be slow and not read in a hurry. There are preliminaries to be done before -- like recitation of Kavacha, argala, KilAka, do the nyasas and Japa Navakshari ,recite Rathri Suktha followed by the MAIN -- DS containing 700 slokas in 13 Chapters( like GITA.) The concluding part consists of chanting Devi Suktha from Rigveda or the tantric one, do the Navakshari Japa again ( 108 ) and do the parayana of Rahasya Traya -- three chapters. You finally dedicate the whole act of recital to Devi and recite Aparadha Kshapana a prayer craving pardon for all faults and mistake one would have committed. As a child of the Divine Mother we pray that we do not know to invoke HER prescence and How to revoke it also. We seek pardon for shortcomings in mantra and devotion.. Devi is too pleased and one is sure to get the grace. ( In The 12th Chapter Devi herself Confirms the benefits of recitation detailing the nature of benefits as discussed below ). DS is the only purana done as YAGNA. Devi being Bhoga -- Moksha dayini -- DS is a great Sadhana Sastra for mantra prayoga to get what is desired, to remove the miseries, getting rid of ill effects of planets, preventing or postponing even Death natural or accidental, removing distress, restoring to normalcy -- people possessed by evil spirits, curing unknown diseases, etc . These are special sections of mantras and prayoga has to be learnt from a GURU only. For those interested and not familiar with DM -- may by just hearing DS recital would yield full benefits as if the hearer has done a paryanana. Sarada Navarathri is fully dedicated to Chandi only . Jai Chandi Sri Shiva <sirishashiva wrote: Thank you Virendra Qazi and Ganapathy Vijaya for your thoughts on my queries. I actually read Khadgamaala. I don't have Devi saptasati or Devi saptasloka. Maybe I have them in one of my pooja books. Else, where could I get it? Is Uchcharana (pronounciation) very important? If so, I would like to know a website where the recital of Devi Saptasati/saptasloka is done. What does it mean if one, in one's dream, finds one as Maa Durga herself?
