Guest guest
Sub : Devi’s Grace – part 3 Observation made by Sri Raviji -- Jesus Two Commandments – We should love God with all strength and power and You learn to receive love by giving love. Since the mail mixes Grace and Love or compassion – I would not touch upon Devi’s Grace as it has been answered sufficiently in the last two posts to the best of my negligible knowledge. Therefore this would deal only with Love and Is there anything that our scriptures say on other than love. Remarks on these thoughts based on scriptures: Every living being desires to be ever Happy and the ultimate happiness is in not being reborn – a state of Paramanda and it can be achieved through Gyana. While it is difficult to acquire Gyana as it involves deeper study of Vedanta,Gitta, Upanishads, Vyaasa Sutras and its commentaries and contemplate on it with Viveka, Vairagya, Shradda, patience and irresistible desire to attain Moksha. This is not possible for Madhyama Adhikaries who have been prescribed the Upasana Marga or the Bhakthi Marga. For a sincere upasaka even if he doesn’t get Gyana there is no loss as atleast he could go to the Brhmaloka and progress further. ( This is what the Christ would have meant to love God with all strength. ) But what is so special about Sanatana Dharma – No religion talks of Self Realisation or the Atma Gyana. They stop with the paradise which is again limited by time and space. One has to be reborn again to enjoy the eternal Happiness. What we call it Moksha is not impractical as we know by practicing the tents of our religion many have remained in tranquil Samadhi without knowing death . ( Eg : Ragavendra Swamygal – Mantralaya ) Even in contemporary period we know of great souls like Ramana Bhagawaan and Maha Swamy having attained Moksha after leaving their body. The EIGHT QUALITIES REQUIRED : ( ATMIC QUALITY REQUIRED ) The scriptures say these gunas are . Daya : Love for all creatures and there is no greater happiness than derived by loving others. The entire Christianity is based on universal love . Ksanti : The ability to patiently accept things as they are – disease, misfortune or any hardships. Anasuya : Being Non Jealous. This is an essential quality required for loving others. Sauca : Cleanliness and includes Achara and food restrictions. Anayasa : To take things easy and to be agitated when performing a karma or duty. While you should put in efforts feel effortless. Mangala : Feeling cheerful all the time which is essential to radiate happiness. Akarpanya : Being very generous and not be a Miser. Asprha is the last of the eight quality . It is the opposite of Desire. The entire Buddhism is based on this principle.. Desire is the root cause of all troubles, all evils including not being truthful. While all prophets are included in the teaching other religions the emphasis is given on one. That is why Sanatana Dharma gladly accepts Jesus Christ , Prophet Mohammed , Bhuddha and others as Jivan Mukthas and our religion encompasses others also in this process. In fact our religion goes beyond teaching of these eight Atma Gunas and imparts lessons to take people beyond them to a state that transcends these very qualities. The Dharma Sastras have prescribed samskaras which are 40 in numbers to make us inwardly pure and to imbibe theses atma gunas. A person who acquires Atma Guna goes to Brahmaloka directly and no further Birth. This loka has no sorrow or happiness. Some of the samskaras are garbhadhana, pumsavana, seemantha, jatakarma, namakarana, annaprasana, sowla, upanayana and ends with anthyeshti. Samskaras must be performed at the right age to wipe off the sins earned by us in the previous births and the samskaras are concerning our body, mind and speech.
