So you can set a goal to write atleast 5 lines of your own > prayer to ambaa, each day. -------------------------------- Namaste Ravishankarji has made a wonderful suggestion. But I am slightly modifying it so that we can make it a project for this Navaratri all of us together. Ravi has written the first five names from his own feelings for ambaal. Why not each one of us contribute five more, following the same pattern. Here are my five. I am numbering them six to ten. I follow Ravi's style. 6. O Divine Mother, You are the One who manifests as this visible universe. To you my Love and Namaskarams. 7. O Divine Mother, You appear in every woman that I see. To You my sAshhTAnga praNAms. 8. O Divine Mother, You appeared as Sita in Treta yuga and suffered untold miseries. To You my Namaskarams. 9. O Divine Mother, You have several names; but Mother is my favourite name for you. To You my Namaskarams. 10. O Divine Mother, You appear as Evil to Evil-doers. To You my Gratitude and Namaskarams. This way, my dear friends, each one of us can go on and on. In addition to contributing five names every day as our own composition, we can each one of us contribute and make the total number of names go to 1000, by the end of Navaratri. Would members rise to the occasion? My praNAms to Ravi for initiating this. praNAms to all devotees of Mother Goddess profvk

To You my > Gratitude and Namaskarams. 11. O Divine Mother, The creator of all this universe - You ARE my real "Mother". To you my love and Namaskarani! - Mother, Could you please enlighten me with our family story? - Am I asking too much? 12. O Divine Mother, the eternal bliss for whole world - you ARE my "Bliss". To you my praNAmani! 13. O Divine Mother, Who is 'sat' - the ONLY ABSOLUTE "truth" in the whole universe ,- I "beseech" you alone, nothing/no one else.To you my sa+aSTAnga praNAmani! 14. O Divine Mother, What kind of a shilpi you are? You create my body with five elements 'from you' and 'of you', make it breathe, bathe and live in this universe(which is a different form of you), and put me(Rishis tell 'self' is also a form of yourself) in this body one day, and you take me out of this body the other day - and you recycle not just mybody thisway, all worlds too; as easily as one can blink own eyes. Thus O creator, destructor, sarva vyapi, sarva+AdhAra, sarvamaya all- in-one 'being' - I bow to you forever. 15. O Divine Mother, When people are 'selfish' then they feel urge to 'get over' these births and deaths by taking refuge at your feet, AND you ONLY relieve them from Births and Deaths when they come over their 'self' awareness. In this mutual contradiction - please direct my mind to concentrate only on the glow and sanctity of your feet and thoughts about you.O the source of knowledge and the initiator of knowledge with 'Guru' affection and love, 'I' owe you 'my'(?) everything. - I should not be that selfish, everything belongs to you only. not mine, I am taking of 'my'.Pranamams to you. How can I take off 'I' from the above sentence? Note: You can consider these as 11 to 15 or discard as you like. May Mother bless us all.
