Dear Arvindji ,

 

I am indeed very happy to know that you have been initiated to Navakshari Mantra

and i do not deserve any fraction of credit. I just kept wondering what had

happened to your initiation subsequent to the private mail i had sent .

 

This initiation has happened due to your Bhakthi and that too in a Mookshapuri

like Kaanchi in front of lalitha Maha Tripurasundari -- Kaamaakshi Devi.

 

On your query, i would like to state humbly that i am not competent to reply on

the commandment of your Guru and feel that you should not question the wisdom of

the Gurujee in a public forum.

 

Assuming that you have been intiated by one of the Hota of the chandi Homam --

i am of the opinion that they are all well learned people attached to Sri Mutt.

Kaanchi.

 

Pl remember that Navakshari mantra alone on its own merit is one of the supreme

mantras in Sri Vidya Upasana and constant mechanical repition of the mantra

itself would place you in a very high spiritual orbit . To achieve this you

should Blindly follow the guru's advice. ( scriptures Claim " Kalow

Chandivinayakaw "-- Chandika and mahaganapathy are alone to be propitiated in

kali yuga for the welfare of Mankind )

 

Doing Chandi Homa by yourself is a very difficult Technical job as you may see

from the procedures and rituals prescribed in the Nirnaya Sagar publication .(

it involves atleast ten parayana prior to homa -- you should be familiar with

all the nyasas, the poorvanga part involves Ganesha puja -- sankalpa --

Punyavaachan,anugna -- Gruhapreethi -- Dasa pancha Dhani --Nandi and vaishnav

shrad -- kalashasthapan --sthapan of various dities,Chandi avarana puja--agni

prathishtan -- Mukantam -- ganapathy homa, navagraha homa - Devi Avahanam in the

Homagni--pradahna Homa with 700 mantras-- bali-- arahnadi upachara puja as per

bhavaopanishad-- Purnahuti and uttaranga procedures etc-- kumari puja --

suvasni puja -- to put this in a nut shell.)

 

At every stage one must be able to fluently recite the elaborate Vedic mantras

associated with each of the ritual and procedure -- and should know what has to

be offered to Devi at the end of each chapter of Saptha Sathi homa -- to give

you an example at the end of first chapter you should offer to Devi in the agni

-- Black saree and blouse with Vlam phal ( in Tamil it is known as vilampazam )

apart from all types of dry fruits- white mustard-- one sweet --flowers --

bangles-- coconut etc etc which is common to all chapters -- the second chapter

the ahuti consists of Red blouse and full arecnut and at the end of third

chapter it is red saree with red blouse with honey ---- It goes on like this.

 

The relationship between a guru and sishya is too personal in Devi Upasana -- It

is best to avoid asking for opinions from many , on an instruction of Guru. Guru

alone can lead you to Devi consciousness and none other would be able to do that

task.

 

Pl have the fullest faith in the Guru and may be with his permission you may be

a YAJAMAN in a chandi homa. (This may involve considerable financial and

physical resources.)

 

Pl keep contacting your guru frequently with all the means of communication. The

ensuing sarada navarathri gives you an immediate golden opportunity to meditate

on the navakshari mantra day and night.

blessings of Jagadguru and all helping devotees like

As I told with my earlier mails that I want to Chandi

Homa and when I asked for doing homa My Guru(who

initiated me) has refused to tell me any other way of

doing puja and not permitted me doing Homa saying that

only Brahmins can perform homa you can not as you are

not Brahmin.

 

I just want to have opinion of any learned member

specially Ganapathyji regarding this as I have not

read in any Tantrik scripture that only a Brahmin can

perform homa.

 

Please clarify.
