Guest guest
Om Sri Matre Namah. Today, 14th November is being observed as World Diabetes Day. India has the dubious distinction of being home to the largest single group of diabetics in the world. Today is also being celebrated as Children's Day in India. Though it came into vogue being the birthday of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru and his love for children, in a spiritual sense we are all the Children of the Divine Mother. So, let us all be children for today and pay homage not only to Pandit Nehru but to the great Supreme Divine Mother and Father Couple - Sakti and Siva. While bringing up children it is essential to learn a few lessons from the Divine Mother. She loves all Her children, no doubt about that. However, when Her children go astray, She tries all methods starting with Saama and only in extreme circumstances does She resort to Danda as the solution. So kind is Mother, that even after committing innumerable sins, if the child realises his - I am using his deliberately since most of the crimes were committed by men, under the illusion that might is right, forgetting that She is the source of might as well as right - so if the child realises his mistakes and seeks refuge at the feet of Mother, she forgives him. Even when Mother uses dandopayam, use of force as a last resort, the very act of being defeated or killed at Her hands bestows Moksha, liberation. So, it seems as if those souls who are actually in a hurry to reach Her Lotus Feet, resort to these measures so that She is forced to take drastic steps! So whether it is bringing up small children or spiritual children, the Divine Mother is a teacher worth emulating to all of us. Disease also comes as an indirect blessing from Divine so that the individual soul realises its errors and corrects its path. It goes without saying that no disease can be cured without Divine Grace. That is why let us invoke the grace of the Divine Couple today. And let us as far as possible, use holistic healing methods, esp. with small children. Sai Ram. That by the way is a greeting, a Mantra and a blessing of Sai, the great Mystic Saint of Shirid, the beloved of all Gods. Guest guest
Namaste Shri Swamy-ji. Very nice post, indeed. I am both Mother's child and a diabetic. That is a double-blessing. Sweet and childlike! Disease certainly is a blessing when She is around there to take care. Thanks, regards and praNAms. Guest guest
Namaste Nairji, Om Sri Matre Namah. Thanks for the kind words. I take it as the Mother's blessings. Disease is no doubt to the body and not to the Spirit, which is One with the Mother. But the body is needed to complete the life's journey. So, if you ever need any help, pl. do write to me off-the-list at swamy or better still, I will send an invitation to you to join the 'wholistichealth' group, so that once you become a member, we can keep in touch better. Sai Ram. In my view, Sai is One with Mother. Swamy , "Madathil Rajendran Nair" <madathilnair> wrote: > Namaste Shri Swamy-ji. > > Very nice post, indeed.
