Guest guest
Pranams. Through the Upasana our mind is always attracted to Devi or other forms and we constantly Praise Her with Archanas and Aradhana. By praising God always, we cannot please Him. He is indifferent to our praise or dispraise, action or inaction. But all our actions are ordained by Her / Him and are meant only to purify our minds. When the mind is purified Chitta Suddhi takes place and the veil of Maya is removed to know the supreme truth as said in the scriptures --- " Aham Brahmasmi ". Apart from intense Upasana we have to take care by eating Satvic food prepared by either his wife or by oneself or by another upasak , as we have seen in the earlier posting on the subject of " Para Anna " , the mind has a profound effect on the kind or place of food we take. Recounting another discussion with my relative Mrs Ananthlakshmi Natarajan at Bangalore recently, I would like to share it with our members. She casually queried me whether I am taking care of Para Anna Nyama to which I replied in the negative and went to reason it out , how that is not practical. She wasn't satisfied with my answer and went on to explain why this is important and compared any upasana without the observation of Para Anna nyama to " Gaja Snanam " . What Is Gaja Snanam !! The Mahout of the Elephant would spend considerable time in bathing and cleaning the entire elephant and what it does at the end of day when it is tied to a tree. It takes the dirt , dust from the ground and ensures it pours it on its head. This is what one does if para anna rule is not enforced. After doing intense upasana to purify our mind , we take the liberty to eat whatever and wherever we please to nullify the effect of the upasana. After hearing this I replied to her that I would like to start this immediately on return to our holy Bharat to which she smiling told me that my reply is like an " ICU heart patient" asking the Doctor that he be given sufficient time to earn for Expenses of the ICU and the proposed operation. This struck me like a lightning and now look forward for an opportunity to observe this rule of Para Anna at the earliest.
