Some people pronounce it as "SHREENG" for which, there is no authentic evidence/support of any scriptures. Similarly, "kleeng" is wrong; it is "kleem" etc. Beeja mantras are very unique in nature and even the slightest change leads to an altogether meaning/result. In the Yajurveda, due to the nature of the Yajus mantras and the "viBhakthi-prathyaya", the syllable "gam" is added to the "anuswaara". For example, "gaNapathim" in Rgveda becomes "gaNapathigam" in Yajurveda. This rule holds good only for vedic mantras, each of which are characterised by: 1. swara (udaattha, anudaattha, swaritha, dheerGha-swaritha) 2. maathraa 3. kaala and, 4. chandas || gaayathreem vandhE vEdha maatharam || , "farmerfarrar02" <peterfarrar02@h...> wrote: > Hello, > > I understand that the Tantric Lakshimi Bija or beej mantra SHRING > can be pronounced as spelled :- SH as in shine.
