Guest guest
Pranams. The Scriptures permit immersion into the sea the uncared Salagrams and Yantras and on the same grounds into the holiest of the great River " The Ganga Maiya " which has witnessed the great civilizations of the Bharat from time immemorial. I am curious to know whether the Size of the Parad Lingam is diminishing and if so the time taken for it to diminish. On this note I would like to add , I was quite shocked yesterday to witness the " Shree Yantra in Meru form " which was aggressively Tele marketed on ZEE MUSIC Channel -- The advertisement had shot a few gentleman ( Doubtful to call them gentle ) wearing the Western full suit with shoes on, surrounding the Yantra and praising for its qualities, and the material benefits the yantra has yielded. Hi Bharath Where are we heading. Is this your way of globalisation. Shame on these type of marketing professionals and for the channel which knows of no values. As it seems to be dissolving can one merge them in Ganges and install new one? Pl. advise. Guest guest
Namaskarams, Parad is mercury and that is poisonous. IMHO the parad lingam/yantra should not be immersed in the ganges or any river/pond for that matter. After the Visarjana puja is done (after entreating the invited God to return to his abode)one should be able to dispose of the parad (lingam/yantra/et...) in a safe manner. according to scriptures even the flowers/garlands used for puja and Upavitham are to be cast into flowing water, but that is no longer followed and when asked I have been told the above explanation. One exception is swayambu lingam and Salagramam, regards Vishwanathan --- ganapathy = = vijaya <srividya101 wrote: > Pranams. > > The Scriptures permit immersion into the sea the > uncared Salagrams and Yantras and on the same > grounds into the holiest of the great River " The > Ganga Maiya " which has witnessed the great > civilizations of the Bharat from time immemorial. > Finance: Get your refund fast by filing online. http://taxes./filing.html

This has nothing to do with the Author's mail assuming it is posted with a " spiritual authority ". Is the mercury Shivalinga if immersed in Ganges more poisionous than the "Sins" of millions of humans who take the refuge of Ganga Maiyya to wash it off. The " Parad Lingam " should not be analysed as to its Chemical properties once we deem it as Sacred. That way every salagrama can be deduced chemically. I think it is beyound any inorganic, organic or physical chemistry. I tend to think that If mercury becomes a lingam it would'nt harm anything as Shiva is Neelkantan himself. Is this Parad Lingam more poisionous than the millions of tons of Organic, Inorganic or Biological wastes dumped daily on her which , She as a Great Mother tolerates the nonsense of her children. Illustraion from our scripture as to how " Poisionous " our sins could be in relation to ganges. ( the story may have a slight variant but the Truth what it conveys is same ) I am reminded of the Episode of Pundalikan who after marriage under the influence of his egoistic wife Totally ignores and ill treats his Parents. Fed up with the treatment , the parents decide to go to Yatra and even at that time on the advise of his wife , he reuses to part with the possession -- the Horse drawn cart. After sometime , pundalika with his wife go for a trip to a nearby place and approach an ashram to quench their thirst. That happens to be " Kukkuta Maha Rishi ashram ". While entering the Ashram they See three Dark ugly and wicked looking women entering the ashram and after sometime , Pundalika witnesses the same woman turn into three very beautiful Woman proceeding to leave the ashram. Pleased with the diviniity of the woman Pundalika falls at the feet of one of the woman and instantaneously the three woman turn dark as they were before. The three woman so upset, identify theselves as " GANGA, YAMUNA and SARASWATHI " and yell at him that they come to the Maharishi ashram once in Twelve years to wash off their Sins of millions of humans which they acquire and Cry that they have to wait for another twelve years to get back to their original form. They also point out that the sins which pundalikan has committed was so grave to convert them so fast which otherwise would have taken so many years. The story goes further as -- the realised Pundalikan goes back to care for his parents and pleased with the service to his parents , Lord krishna with Rukmani appears before Pundalikan's hut on a rainy day, but pundallikan being busy choses to serve his parents than attending to the Lord , offers a brick to the Lord and makes him wait . This place is the famous palce of " Pandaripur " in Maharashtra and Lord Krishna himself styles himself as Punadalika Varadhan recognising his bhkthi to his parents.
