Guest guest
This indeed a very beautiful verse, poetic imagery is very fascinating. thethiyur subrahmaNya-shaasrtrigaL, in his commentary, highlights various alankaara-s used in this verse. Following may be incorrect, yet; - Instead of thinking that all other rays have been vanquished, may be ambaa just let only one ray of light to show that just one ray of divine grace is enough to show the path even in the dense darkness of ignorance. After all, darkness is not an entity by itself, but only the absence of light. - Second thing that struck me was, I was looking all pictures I had and thought different vigrahams, I could not find one which shows her siimanta. Always the crown blocks it away. May be the crown symbolizes the external manifestation that hides the inner light of knowledge. Can someone point me to a picture that shows ambaa's siimanta and the streak of sindhuram? TIA Ravi
