Guest guest
Om Gurave Namah Dear friends I want to know more about the Gayatri Kavacham and Gayatri Hridayam. Can someone give me scriptural reference to these? What are the benefits of chanting these? I also believe there is a Gayatri Saapa Vimochana slokam. Is it mandatory for the twice-born to chant this as well? Are there any procedures prescribed by the revered sages? Sincerely R. Guest guest
shaapa vimochanam was discussed on the list. See archives. The text itself is available at http://www.ambaa.org/stotrams/gaayatrii_shaapa.pdf This, along with kavacham and hridayam are all from the devii bhaagavata puraaNa. They are considered very powerful. , "rkrangan" <rkrangan@s...> wrote: > Om Gurave Namah > > > Dear friends > > I want to know more about the Gayatri Kavacham and Gayatri Hridayam. > Can someone give me scriptural reference to these? Pmilind
Chanting GAYTRI HRUDAYAM during BRAHMA MUHURTHA TIME (4.00AM to 6.00AM) is equivalent to chanting Gayatri mantra 6,00,000 times. The SUPREME SOUL will bless you in your path towards the OMNIPRESENT. gAyatrIhRidaya.pdf
