Guest guest
Namaskar. I am indeed not qualified or having the expertise that you would expect of me. Anyway to discuss what negligible I know, I have put my thoughts on your queries. These are my personal thoughts and I have no authority to guide or direct anybody. The worship of specific Durga Forms like Vana Durga, shulini Durga etc should not be attempted to without any initiation as these forms are of Ugraha with very specific powers and while the Sadhak would get what he wants, this would not be without any Test and Tribulations, as one tries to get some benefits against the Law of Karma. In one of the TV interviews the fire brand Sandal Wood smuggler claims that he is a “ Vana Durga upasak “ and because of her grace, he knew every inch of the forest which he Occupies which is about 1000 square KMs. She would take you away, from the specific problem if one focuses on Her with special upasana but that is not without a Trial of compensatory problem if one tries to exhaust the problem with zero effect I know personally that many attempts to put a roof to a Vana Durga temple at Alleppy Mullakkal Bhagawathi brought the roof to the floor number of times. Patteshwaram Shulini Durga near Kumbakonam is full of Shakthi and Her Dharshan would be very beneficial for any karmic problem. Also Vedaranyam Vana Durgaji. Incidentally there is no roof for Shulini at Pattesewaram. She receives abundant rain and sunshine without a roof. In my 1 Baiza opinion if one goes to such a temple, have Dharshan and do the Archana for a particular worldly problem that would make the mind stronger to accept the problem in the spirit of Law of Karma than to get away from the problem. The best way to pray Durgaji is meditating her form as Ashta Dasha Buja Durga by reciting the eleventh and fourth chapter of Devi Mahatmeym. ( which requires no initiation.) Multiple Mantras : For the same deity there could be and are multiple mantras and one is expected to chant on what one is initiated by the Guru. By chanting the mantras the deity comes to you initially occasionally and as one gets into Her wave length by intense upasana you will be with that deity all the times and this stage is called – tanmayatha or togetherness. Eventually your own individuality becomes completely dissolved and you and your deity become one consciousness and that stage is tadrupatha. Every cell in your body becomes a resonator for your mantra, every pore becomes a mouth with which you speak of Devi’s name and thereby your ignorance is removed. It is the Guru’s job to initiate you to a mantra and the proper form for which you have the affinity. Say if you are of a tender nature some terrifying forms like Tara would scare you to death. If one is prone to greed and one take to mantra of Lakshmi you may simply get wealth and in the process only enhance your greed. Of what use are these Mantras in your progress of never ending Births and deaths. Nowadays it has become a fashion to demand a mantra from a guru. I see lot of posts on concentration, meditation etc . In my one baiza opinion, Mind by its own nature is ever jumping like a monkey from one subject to the other and the one who is into the “ Manthra Sadhana” should not be bothered or try to control it artificially. This Yoga is not a Hata Yoga. What is important is Bhakthi and Unshakable faith on Devi. She would Take care of you – leave the problem of meditation to Devi. The words of Mahaswamy on this subject may be referred to for further guidance. Ganapathyam : For the Ganapathy Upasana the best book I have come across is by Pujya Shree S.V. Radhakrishna Sasrtygal -- . who has published three volumes covering the entire gamut of this upasana Marga on directions from Maha Periayavaal.. The book is titled as Shree Vigneshwara Sthuthi Manjari and each volume has more than 600 pages. Published by Sri Vigna Venkateshwara Trust 283, TTK Salai Chennai 600-018. pl refer to this. I am using this book for a very limited purpose. Costs Rs 200 for each volume. Ganapathy kmurali_sg <kmurali_sg wrote: Dear Sri. Ganapathy, Namaste and thanks for the detailed message. Request for a few more clarifications: 1. Are there any strict rules relating to worshipping each of the Durga forms? I am not referring to Upasana as initiated by a Guru. I refer to general worship through a form. I vaguely remember reading somewhere that prayer to Shulini Durga is prescribed for Rahu afflictions/Dasa/Transit, Asuri Durga to control and channelize one's energies, Vana Durga to fulfill one's noble ambitions such as literary works etc. 2. If there are multiple mula mantras for a deity/form, can any one be used? For example, I came across at least 5 to 10 different mantras for Lakshmi. 3. This query is not directly related to Ambaal but Ganapaty. I am writing this because I presume many of the members would be aware of this. I would really appreciate any information/links/material relating to Raja/Vara/Siddhi/Herambha Ganapati forms - such as Gayatri/Mula mantras/stutis etc. Thanks & Regards, Murali --- Ganapathy --- Vijaya " Jai Bhavani " - - - - " Jai Sri Lalitha Maha Maha Tripura Sundari " " Sarvam Shakti Mayam Jagath " Mail - More reliable, more storage, less spam
Guest guest
Dear respectable ambaal devotees, I had heard about Bhavani maa, but really have not remember seeing her idol or where her temple is. Heard about Madhura Kaali (who is also called madhura bhavani). Some information on this would be really nice. Mangala Finance Tax Center - File online.
