The child soul of this humanity clining to the Mother soul of this Cosmos and

that dear Mum is "Bhavaani" . In Lalitha sahasranama atleast there are three

direct references to Her name -- Two in Dhyana Slokam and one in the ( 112 th )

LS Namavali. So She is none other than Lalitha Maha Tripura Sundari.

 

Adi Shankara has composed the Bhavaani Bhujangam in praise of Her. She is well

known in North of India Specially the Great kashmir in India , as Lalitha is

known in South. She was the Kula deivam of the great maratha king Shivaji.

 

Bhavani is the originating Power of the Very Existence. Bhava means ' The state

Of Being " and so is Shiva and hence the spouse of Shiva is Bhavani.

 

" Bhava " is the originator and supporter of all beings and "Ana " means the

giver of life. accordingly She is the very supporter of life in the cosmos.

Therefore logically She is Supreme Reality, Supreme Mum with love, Supreme

Beauty which Tantras call Her

" Para Shathi or chit Shakthi or Chaitainya Shakthi. "

 

Bhava also means water, Rudra, Kama, the Samsara Chakra, and as she gives the

Shakthi or the life to these. So She is Bhavaani.

 

Bhavaani -- Is Sri Vidya or the Brahma Vidya and realisation of this Truth --

supreme, sublime, and Divine Mother, is the final Beautitude of Life and the

very purpose of life too.-- She enjoys this divine play of Maya -- So She is

Lalitha from this angle.

 

Swamy Vivekananda meditated on Her for three Days and nights continuously at the

Bhavani temple at Kashmir and SHE has revealed to Swamy the entire secrets of

the Cosmos . ( this I remember to have read in one of the R.K. Mission book )

 

Swamy further in his Talks at Madras says -- The sea calm is the Absolute. She

is time. place, and causation. Mother Bhavaani is Brahman and has two natures --

the conditioned and the unconditioned. The Conditioned is Bhavani , the very

Atma and the unconditioned is Unknown and Unknowable.

 

She is also called as Sarika Bhavaani in Kashmir.
