As per Verse 17th of Shree Suktham there are three well known Rishies for this Suktham . and they are Aananda, Kardhama and Ciklita and Mahalakshi is Devatha as the verse 17 goes as under : “ Aanandha Kardhmashchyva Ciklita ethi Vishruthaha Rushyasthe Thrayaha proktha swayam Shreereva Devatha “ Also when Mahalakshmi appeared while churning the sea by the devas and asuras the Rishi Kardhama treated Her as his daughter and therefore Kardhama is considered as Laxmi’s Father. ( as per verse 11 of Sri Suktha ) In some puranas it is seen that in Mahalaxmi’s temple Ciklita is considered to be Dwara Paalaka vara12sreerama <vara12sreerama wrote:namasthe In the 12 th SlOka of SrIsUktam the son of SrIdEvi is mentioed as ciklIta.
