But I understand that it could be quite tempting. But one can not escape saying ambaa's compassionate she will know the true intention and forgive. For if one believes in ambaa's compassion, then one should directly appeal to HER compassion rather than resorting to mantra/tantra etc. without formal guidance. ---- My one baiza opinion Sub : The Mantras It is wrong to look upon the mantras as collection of letters. The tantras declares : To hell he goes who mistakes the guru for human, the image as a piece of stone or an art and who looks upon the mantras as mere letters. The mantra is an ever living embodiment of truth and power and when uttered it evokes the response of the devatha that is lying coiled up in the body of the chanter. But the living touch of the guru is needed to set the mantra awake in the disciple. The guru implants the mantra along with his tapasya and the living presence of the deity is evoked. The disciple has to nurture the consciousness put into him by guru. The seed mantra is sure to shoot up, blossom and yield fruits when the time is ripe. The description of the action of mantra is wonderfully described by Sri Sri Aurobindo Quote : “As when the mantra sinks in ear, its message enters stirring the blind brain and keeps in the dim ignorant cells its sound. The hearer understands a form of words and musing on the index thought it holds, he strives to read it with laboring mind, but finds bright hints, not the embodied truth. Then falling silent in himself to know, he meets the deeper listening of his soul. The word repeats itself in rhythmic strains. Thought, vision, feeling, sense, the body’s self are seized unalterably and he endures an ecstasy and an immortal change. He feels wideness and becomes a power, all knowledge rushes on him like a sea. Translated by the white spiritual ray he walked in heavens of joy and calm, sees the god-face and hears transcendent speech. “ A TRUE YOGI INDEED CAN DESCRIBE LIKE THIS.
