Guest guest
Sub : The FOUR Dhyana Shloka Of Lalitha Sahasranama There are four Dhyana Shloka of LS which are commonly Chanted -- though not necessarily as per the popular order described as under. The first Shloka is ALWAYS chanted first in all traditions as this the “Only one” from Brahmanda Purana. It goes as……….. ………Sidurrana Vighraham This is the only Dhyana Shloka as per the Brahmanda Purana -- as I have gathered from the Bhasya of Shree Nrushimha Natha’s Bhasyam wherin he says as – Dhyana EKENA. In practice we always recite the ADDITIONAL THREE Dhyana shlokas. The other Dhyana Shloka has been taken from various sources and later on added by our Masters and therefore it appears there is no uniformity of order of chanting conforming to the popular order as per this mail. Going to the Second Dhyana Shloka as per popular Chanting – Arunaam Karunaam tharangi Dhaksheem ……............... This Shloka has been researched and found by elders to have been composed by the great Datta gurudev – Lord Dattatreya. As Dutta Guru’s contribution to SRIVIDYA is unparallel and unique this could have been added later ( personal belief) Coming to the THIRD Dhyana Shloka which goes as – Dhyaeth Padmasanstham ………………………………… The Source is Dhyana Shloka is UNKNOWN TO ME. The Fourth Dhyana Shloka which goes as Sakunkuma Vilepanam ………………………… This has been taken on a later date from the Shloka composed by Adi Shankara in the “ TRIPURA SUNDARI ASHTAKAM.” QUERY : Can any Learned Member enlighten the SOURCE of ’ Third Dhyana Shloka “ Regards Ganapathy Ganapathy --- Vijaya " Jai Bhavani " - - - - " Jai Sri Lalitha Maha Maha Tripura Sundari " " Sarvam Shakti Mayam Jagath " Tax Center - File online by April 15th
