Dear menonji nameste,

 

Your guru is right,tulasi is not to be used but using of

tulasi "MANJARI"(the flowering part of tulasi) is considered very

auspicious in devi worship.

 

As for Alexandraji,tulasi is always sacred to narayana and his

incarnations.Tulsi is not just an ordinary plant but is a medicinal

powerhouse,By eating a few leaves of tulasi everyday you can prevent

almost any disease.It has many many uses.
