Periaval was such a repository of knowledge that it wouldn't be exagerrating if it is said that all knowledge of the universe embodied themselves as Mahaperiaval. It is also our mahabhagyam that he blessed the world with Sri Jayendra Saraswathi Mahaswamigal and Sri Sankara Vijayendra Saraswathi Mahaswamigal. Even though, I was blessed by him to have his darshan only once just after my upanayanam, still Mahaperaival continues to guide me all through my life. During that visit, I remember Mahaperiaval addressing my grandmother as the niece of the great Venganddur Srivatsa Somadeva Sharma, who was very much close to Mahaperiaval, which evidences his legendary memory power. Also, we have had several experiences in our lives where Mahaperiaval has worked miracles for us. Also, my grandfather has had some rare instances of experiencing the omniscience of Sri Jayendra Saraswathi Mahaswamigal and Sri Bala Peraival. Like Sri Narayana Bhattatiri said of the Lord of Guruvayur -- hanta bhAgyaM janAnAm -- the same applies to Sri Mahaperiaval, too. Regards, Sudarshan Iyer India Matrimony: Find your partner online.
