Guest guest
Sharada is the aspect of Divine mother represeting original knowledge transcending all limitations and is an epithet of Maha Saraswathi -- the goddess of learning. The first " Sharada Peetam " existed in Kashmir even before the establishment of Sharada peetam at Sringeri . The presiding deity here is known as " Medha " and was a great seat of learning in ancient times in Kashmir. Adi shankara during his visit to the peetam is said to have been conferred the honour as " JagadGuru " -- Universal Teacher. The place where this peetam is located is called " Sarada " even today but unfortunately in now in the Pakistan occupied Kashmir . The relics at the shrine have been popular and universally respected. ( Source -- A history of Kashmir by P.N. K Bamzai ) / Ganapathy --- Vijaya " Jai Bhavani " Friends. Fun.
