Guest guest
During the last trip to Chennai when I had the darshan of Pujya lopa Mudra ( Rajam Mami ) , I had to lament to her that there were hardly any flowers in this part of the world to offer to Devi , while every Luxury you name is available. Immediately She gave me a Prasad of “ saffron” flowers which was a Nirmalya after doing the Trishati Archana and further advised me to do the Lalitha Trishati with saffron whenever possible.. She informed that saffron was given to her by a US devotee. Here Saffron is available in plenty coming from Spain and Iran In the Punya Bhumi it is grown in plenty in Kashmir which is noted for the beauty and for its contribution in terms of knowledge to the Santana Dharma. I understand that one Million plants are needed to make 1 Kg of Saffron. “ Lopa Mudra explained me a verse from scriptures –“ Kumkumapriya” – which means that Devi who is pleased with Saffron Adornment. “ Saffron is a flower of Jasmine color in the middle of which grows 6 tender shafts – 3 being yellow and 3 with wonderful scarlet color. (Does it any way indicate the Tripura Rahasya or the trinity nature of things like Satva, Raja,Tamas – Known, Knower and Knowledge …………… ) The three shafts, which are of scarlet red, are carefully plucked and the attractive product called Saffron. The wonder of this Plant is the FLOWER ITSELF and has NO LEAVES. The taste is bitter but the after taste is pleasing with fragrance fired in the mouth. Does this anyway indicate intrinsically , that amidst the world affairs and pleasures that one is engaged for most of one’s time, which is bitter to leave ,but once you leave you get established in the Sweet path of spirituality which ultimately ushers the sadhak the Realm of Truth. -- I leave the judgment to the devotee.
