Forms of Devi – Part 2 – DM 11th Chapter – Contd

In the last mail the two forms viz -- Mother Kathyayani and Maha Maya was

discussed. The Maya in a nut shell is the power to make things appear as “ What

is Not as IS and What is IS as Not “. Maha Swamy says Maha Maya is worshipped

in all villages of Tamil Nadu and known in the local dialect as “ mahamayee “

and “ kathyee” for Kathyayini.

The scripture DM – A Purana that contains the truth of Vedanta , the effect of a

single Parayana which gives the benefit of Chathur Veda Paryana is available to

All Varnas . Earlier only Brahmins were entitled to learn Vedas. That didn’t

mean Brahmins were Superior as is made to be now, as the other Varnas had an

equal opportunity and could get the same benefit of Vedas and Vedanta with Much

Ease by reading the DM. This is the Karuna Kataksha of Vyasa bhagwaan for all

Sanathana Dharmies without exception.

That is also the reason why Maha Swamy said –“ All Varnas are EQUAL in STATUS

but each one has a separate IDENTIY of their own.” DM scripture is an ample

proof that people belonging to other Varnas Not entitled to learn Vedas are

Entitled to LIBERATION in this janma or birth itself through Chandi Sadhana .

It is an open secret that today there are very Few real Brahmins observing the

Achara and Anushtanas of our scriptures, this DM is a great Savior or Redeemer

for the Brahmana bandhus ( one related to Brahmins – a new sub-Varna of this

century!!!) like the writer of this mail, who is not able to observe the duties

ordained by the scriptures.

Continuing the notes the next two forms are Kala Kashta and Gauri.

Kala Kashta :

The force of time which makes the evolution possible and the force continues or

persists even on dissolution of the cosmos – Maha Pralya. Usually the

measurements of time is kashta – 18 atomic minutes make one kashta and 30

kashtas make one Kala etc

Very little information I could gather on this form and request the Learned

Members to contribute further on this form of Devi..

GAURI :

Means ‘ Brilliant Complexion ‘-- The Self produced importance for excellence in

display.

Sati Devi immolated into Agni ( or Yogagni – fire of Kundalini ) was reborn to

Himavaan becoming UMA. As sati she was faithful spouse but left Shiva but as Uma

she ever dwells with Shiva and never deserted him. Her complexion became white

or pale red like a conch or a kunda flower which only blooms only in moonlight

and the Devi purana says hence She is known as Gauri. “Gaura” also means golden

color.

Varuna’s spouse is also known as Gowri – Similarly a girl of 10 yrs is called

Gowri , confirming the Devi’s manifestation in all the female Forms

Gowri is the main Deity in the “ Kanyakubja peetam “ as per Padma Purana.

In the uthama Charithram of DM to kill the Demons Sumbha and Nishumbha from the

body of UMA incarnated the “ Maha Saraswathi “

Jai Ambika

Ganapathy.

Ganapathy --- Vijaya

" Jai Bhavani "

LS-859-kAShThA - Goal.

The period of time consisting of eighteen minutes is called kAShThA,

also it means Daruharidra(a piece of certain wood).

Kashtha is the final doctrine set forth by the vedanta passages. The

Suta Samhita says, "Whether visible or invisible, real or unreal it

is the supreme Siva. Thus the final declaration of the Vedanta

passages is called Kashtha."

The Sruti(Katha Up., 3-11): "She is the goal, She is the supreme

way."

Kashtha is the wife of the supreme Siva in the form of the ether**

called Bhima, and the mother of heaven.

The Linga Purana says,"The divine Siva called Bhima in the form of

ether giving space for all things animate and inanimate. The wife

of this glorious divine, supreme Bhima, is called Kashtha. Svarga

(heaven) is their son."

The vayu Purana also repeats the same.

Kashtha, as She stands after crossing. The Sruti(Svetasshvatara

Upanishad., 3-14) says, "He stood ten inches beyond." The Bh. Gita

(10-42), "I do abide by a portion prevailing this entire universe."

Can somebody explain the context of the quote from Svetashvatara?

Am unable to understand it.

**Sanskrit original is vyoma

Suta Samhita Original: pratItamapratItaM vA sadasacca parashshivaH,

iti vedantavAkyAnAM niShThA kAShTheti kathyate.

Linga Purana quote:

carAcarAnAM bhUtAnAM sarveShAmavakAshadaH

vyomAtmA bhagavAndevo bhIma ityucyate budhaiH,

mahA mahimno devasya bhImasya paramAtmanaH,

dashasvarUpA dikpatnI sutassvargashca sUribhiH.
