DM -11 -- Clarification

Dear Devotee,

 

This great scripture Devi Mahatmyam ( DM ) from Maarkandeya Purana has 13

Chapters containing 700 shlokas similar to the Bagwath Gita in Mahabharatha

which also has 700 shlokas.

 

All these shlokas which apparently goes in the form of a story are in fact

hidden mantras of Bhavaneshwari and concluded by our Masters as Mantra Sastras

and would lead a spiritual aspirant to Final liberation.

 

Mantra is not product of Mind but a potent sound carrying with it the form or

sound body of the Deity and these divine sounds have been heard by the Rishies

from the space after Constant Contemplation of the supreme. The divine mother is

the heart of all mantras and each sound resonates in Her and evokes her response

WITHOUT FAIL.

 

Each verse of DM has esoteric meaning in relation to our worldly lives . This

aspect I would like to post separately and not like to Mix with the current

topic which is on and restricted to various forms of Devi as described in the

11th Chapter of DM .

 

The discussion is on and about the Various Forms of Divine Mother . DM 11 stands

for the 11th Chapter of DM and part 2 identifies as the second post on the

subject.

 

Adi Shankara in the Prapancha Sara confirms that what is OM in Brahma Vidya

corresponds to Hreem in Sri Vidya --- as Brahma Shakthi ( Ambaaji) and Brahman (

Shiva ) are in separable.

 

Hreem is also the Maya beeja or Bhavaneshwari Beeja ( Bhuvana means the Cosmos

and Eswari is the Supreme Power ) the SEED of cosmos from which you see growth

of entire cosmos.

 

The various powers of the Goddess has been manifested from the ONE Bhuvaneshwari

-- like the Maha Kaali, Maha Lakshmi and Maha Saraswathi.

 

The Chidambara Rahasya Lord Parameshwara extols the benefits of DM Parayana. The

Bhuvaneshwari Samhita declares DM as Eternal like the Vedas.

 

In the last century to quote a well known Jivan Mukthas who has merged with the

supreme Light and Truth of Divine Mother with the help of this DM -- is Sri

Aurobindo.

In the last mail the two forms viz -- Mother Kathyayani and Maha Maya was

discussed. The Maya in a nut shell is the power to make things appear as “ What

is Not as IS and What is IS as Not “. Maha Swamy says Maha Maya is worshipped in

all villages of Tamil Nadu and known in the local dialect as “ mahamayee “ and “

kathyee” for Kathyayini.
