Guest guest
Dear All, Namaste. With respect to Devi Mahatmyam parayanam - I am hearing two opposing versions from different sources. One version is that Devi Mahatmyam can be chanted by all - including those seeking relief from planetary afflictions/dasas(e.g. Rahu). I can't recollect any specific prohibitions in the book "Devi Mahatmyam" by Ramakrishna Mutt. Another version is that it includes bijaksharas and therefore should not be chanted without initiation. While it is perceivable that both versions may have appealing arguments and followers, are there any authentic prescriptions/guidelines in this regard for the common man(for example - from Shri Shankaracharyas etc.)? Thank you very much in advance. Guest guest
Hari Om This was taught - by Shree Maa - that anyone can chant the Chandi Path. The only problem is not to stop chanting in the middle of a battle. only stop after Mother has defeated the demons. Other wise it is a blessing to humanity Jai Maa Love baba , "kmurali_sg" <kmurali_sg> wrote: > Dear All, > > Namaste. > > With respect to Devi Mahatmyam parayanam - I am hearing two opposing > versions from different sources. > > One version is that Devi Mahatmyam can be chanted by all - including > those seeking relief from planetary afflictions/dasas(e.g. Rahu).
