Guest guest
Dear Sri. Sundara Raman, Namaste. Though I am not an expert, I would like to share what I know. 1. With respect to Yajurveda Sandhyavandanam, there are a few differences between Smarta and Vaishnava sampradAya such as: a. Deva Tarpanam - only to vishnu (starting with keshavam tarpayAmi and ending in dAmodaram tarpayAmi). b. After Gayatri Japa, some of the lineages prescribe Ashtakshara Japa (Om Namo NarAyanAya). c. After Upasthanam, the devata vandanam is again restricted to Vishnu only. 2. Please also note that, within Vaishnava Sampradaya itself, there are few variations amongst various lineages such as Vadagalai, Thengalai, Ahobila etc. 3. You may look to http://www.prapatti.com for complete Vaishnavite Yajur Veda Sandhyavandana procedure with instructions in English. Guest guest
DEAR ALL, Minor details may vary among different Brahmin subcastes and within that even among some families. I've seen that among different Kannada books on Yajur Sandhyavandana. Do Kshatriyas and Vaisyas, who are also supposed to perfrom Sandhyavandana have similar methods as Brahmins ?
