Guest guest
Eye bees drink and drip Nectar of compassion >From HER lotus face mukhattAmaraiyil mukarntu karuvaNDukkaNNiRaikkum peruntEn karuNai -- Above haiku-like verse was an inspiration from a joke-mail (on computer crashes) I got today. I thought let me try something on HER. kaTakSha is side glance. This trishati name indicates that her side glances are dripping with compassion. HER face is like a lotus flower. Even in the face eyes are like two flowers* (flower inside a flower). The eye-balls look like bee humming over the(se) flower(s). It seems like it draws the nectar of compassion from HER and when she glances sidewards, helplessly drips it of the side. Like bee helping us to extract honey. Her eye-bees help us to get the nectar of compassion. May be someone with better poetic sense can take a better shot at it. Ravi * kaLidAsa -- kusume ...
